Editable binder pages

There are 22 different pages to this section. These pages are where you enter information about your library, procedures, duties, emergency information etc. I have also included pages for you to add suggested books, videos and web sites that a substitute might want to use. Plus 2 pages of reading response questions that a substitute can use after reading a fiction or nonfiction book to students. All of the text is fully editable. You can add, delete or change whatever you would like.

***Only the text can be changed on the editable pages. The images cannot be changed due to copyright restrictions.

Time fillers and brain breaks

These are quick ideas or discussion prompts that a substitute can pull out when there is extra time or when students need a brain break or quick movement activity. There are 13 pages total. I have found that these are very useful when there are a few extra minutes of class time left or while waiting for a teacher to pick-up their class. There are cards for all grades K-5 with suggested grade levels on the cards.

Lesson Plans

Storytime Activities: These are for students in Kindergarten – 2nd grade. All of these activities have a pet theme. There is a list of suggested books to read to students about pets plus worksheets and graphic organizers that can be used afterward.

Noprep worksheets and printables for 3rd – 5th grades.

2 task cards/center activities for students in 3rd – 5th grades. There are 28 task cards in each center plus directions. One focuses on cause and effect and the other main idea.
