Review library skills with your third, fourth and fifth grade students with this paperless resource. Students will work directly in Google Slides or Microsoft OneDrive to complete the activities. This is a fun, interactive way for students to practice different library skills.

This product will help students review the following skills:

There are 20 slides (but 18 different activities). Read below for the details of each slide.

• Venn Diagram comparing fiction and nonfiction books - students move the words to the correct spot
• Nonfiction graphic organizer (students type in 4 facts and the topic of their book
• What's your opinion? 2 slides - On the first slide students will choose one opinion statement about books and give 3 reasons for this opinion. On the second slide, students can type up why they have this opinion.
• All about my book - students fill in information about their library book. There is also a spot for them to search google images and insert an image that is related to their book.
• Nonfiction text features 
• What's the point - main idea graphic organizer
• Call number practice - students put the fiction call numbers in ABC order. There are 2 slides. One slide has call numbers that look like this: F AR. The second slide has call numbers that look like this: F ARE
• Dewey Decimal System - students read a question and decide what Dewey category they would find a book that answers the question.
• 2 genre slides - students fill in a short story that matches a genre. They will also need to search google images to find a picture that matches their story
• Reading informational text - students read a short text about moths and butterflies and then answer the questions
• Amazing achievements - biography graphic organizer. Students fill in information about a person (early life, major achievements, why I admire this person)
• Guide words - students move words underneath the correct set of guide words
• Using a thesaurus - students will read a sample thesaurus page and choose a synonym for an italicized word
• Genres - students will move the genre to its definition. They will then move a picture that describes the genre.
• Genres - students will match the genre to a book title
• Idioms - students will match a picture of an idiom to it's meaning
• Summarizing - students will type in a one-sentence summary of 3 different paragraphs

The preview shows every slide. Please download it before purchasing. 

Important Note: This is not an editable resource. The background of each slide cannot be changed. However, you can delete any of the movable images/words if you would like and use your own. Many slides have moveable pieces (mostly words). On slides where students need to type I did insert text boxes. You can delete them before sharing with students if you want to.

These slides are very similar to a few of the printables available in my Library Noprep Printables. I just adapted them to work on Google Slides.
